About Me
Hi, I am Vjosa, a qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist, & a Consultant in Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
What I offer:
I offer a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental space where we will work together confidentially. I am committed to providing safe, professional practice to my clients and help them achieve their expected outcomes of therapy. I offer different counselling services to individuals and groups. Alongside my counselling and psychotherapy, I deliver workshops and training on domestic violence and sexual abuse to organisations and professionals.
I am an integrative practitioner, meaning I am experienced in working in various therapeutic ways. I particularly lean towards the Psychodynamic approach which focuses on the unconscious processes and believes that they are manifested in a person’s behaviour. Psychodynamic therapy looks at one's childhood and early relationships as it believes these influences one's present behaviour and current relationships. I also work with other approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and Person-centered therapy. I treat each client as a unique individual and therefore adapt the therapy to their needs in a way that is best suited to them.
Furthermore, I have years of experience working in different clinical settings, such as specialist NHS services, community counselling services, educational settings and my private practice.
If you would like to ask a question or arrange a free consultation over the phone, please get in touch by email or phone. I offer a free telephone consultation where we can find out more about each other. This will allow you to see if I am the right therapist for you and also allow me to learn a little about you and understand why you are seeking therapy.
